Welcome to Hakomi Austin
We provide resources for somatic-based therapy and training, community offerings, and wellness retreats.
The Hakomi Method
Hakomi Therapy is a body-centered psychotherapy that integrates mindfulness, somatic awareness, and experiential techniques to uncover and transform unconscious beliefs and emotional patterns. By cultivating a non-judgmental awareness of thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, Hakomi promotes deep self-discovery, healing, and personal growth in a compassionate, non-violent environment. This transformative approach fosters the integration of mind and body, helping individuals achieve lasting emotional well-being and personal transformation.

"The important thing is to become a gateway
through which the love which is present
can welcome the love that has been waiting."
-Ron Kurtz
We begin by studying our habits and conditioning around communication to aid and support ourselves in giving and receiving nourishing communication. Once we can see underlying patterns and long held beliefs, we are able to change the ways we communicate with ourselves and others. This course will aid and support you in your ability to feel more loved and nourished and to help others feel more loved and nourished.
This module consists of a full-day workshop and 2 evening practice periods to help students deepen their understanding of the content.
